The New Muslim began as an online personal blog of a girl in Singapore who wanted to document her personal journey in finding God. What started as an open-minded discovery into her birth religion gradually guided her to Islam.

As a new Muslim, she occasionally felt lonely and helpless in adapting to her new lifestyle, dressing and eating habits, because she did not know where to look, who to ask, and sometimes, what she was actually seeking.

Over time, as the girl sought and discovered others like her, she became determined to set up The New Muslim, a support platform for new and renewed Muslims and those seeking to learn about Islam- so as to inspire them in their own journey of seeking, answer their misconceptions, and ease their transition to becoming better Muslims.
